140 Grandparents & Special Friends Gather at TCS for One of Our Most Meaningful Traditions
Last Friday’s Grandparents & Special Friends Day was truly a beautiful celebration of community, connection, and the special relationships that help shape the lives of our students.
More than 140 grandparents and special friends gathered together on the Meadow for breakfast before dispersing into classrooms across campus, making this year’s event our strongest attended Grandparents Day in recent years. The morning was filled with warmth, joy, laughter, and meaningful moments shared between generations.
We were especially grateful for the heartfelt remarks shared by Preschool Director Shar Fine, who spoke beautifully about the unique and irreplaceable role grandparents play in the lives of children and within the broader TCS community.
We were also honored to welcome Marty Perlmutter, grandparent of Luna (2nd Grade), as our keynote speaker. Marty delivered a truly moving address that brought many in attendance to tears as he reflected on the importance of being a grandparent and the profound role The Country School plays in helping raise compassionate, confident, and remarkable young people.
Thank you to all of the grandparents and special friends who joined us for this very special day. Your presence helped make the event so memorable, and we are deeply grateful for the love, wisdom, and support you bring to our students and school community.
