We are looking forward to gathering as a school community on Friday, January 16, for a meaningful day honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., celebrating courage and justice, and spending time together in community.

Please note that we will not hold our regular Friday 15 assembly (normally at 9:15 AM) on this day. Instead, students and families are invited to participate in the following community events.

Our schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 11:30 AM – MLK Day Celebration on the Dream Court

  • 11:45 AM – Ruby Bridges Walk (rescheduled from earlier this year)

  • 12:15 PM – Community Feast

The Community Feast will take place during our normal lunch period, and families are welcome to join us. Students may still bring a lunch from home if they prefer; however, all students should continue to pack a snack, as they normally would.

To help ensure we have plenty of food to share, we invite families to sign up to bring a dish for the Community Feast. Please see the SignUpGenius link and consider contributing if you are able. Your participation helps make this a joyful and abundant experience for our entire community.

Permission slips for the Ruby Bridges Walk are attached and should be returned to your child’s teacher. As a reminder, the Ruby Bridges walk is from campus to Chandler and Magnolia and back for our Elementary and Middle School Students. This walk is a reminder that change often begins with a single brave step and that when we walk together, we model the inclusive world we want our children to inherit. Preschool parents/guardians are welcome to join the walk with their own child. You may not bring your child's friend along unless their parent is also participating in the walk.

As part of our standard practice for off-campus walks, our security team and designated staff will sweep and monitor the route before and during the walk. All available teachers, specialists, and administrators will accompany students to ensure close supervision and a safe, joyful experience for everyone.

We warmly invite families to join us for both the assembly and the walk. Your presence not only supports our students, it also reinforces the message that courage is taught, nurtured, and shared across generations.

Please note that Preschool will not leave school property but will participate in the symbolic walk with a march around the Dream Court.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping us create moments of connection, reflection, and belonging for our students. We hope to see you on January 16.

GIVE NOW:

Annual Fund 2025-2026

Thank You for an Incredible Giving Tuesday!

We are deeply grateful to every family, past parent, trustee, faculty member, and friend who contributed and pledged to The Country School’s Giving Tuesday campaign. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $12,000 in a single week, directly strengthening the programs, people, and experiences that make TCS such a special place for our students.

Your support fuels everything we do—from innovative classroom learning to the arts, athletics, enrichment education, and the everyday moments that help our children feel seen, supported, and inspired.

If you haven’t had a chance to make your annual fund gift yet, there’s still time. Every contribution, at every level, makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and helps TCS continue to thrive.

Thank you for showing up for our community—and for helping us build an even brighter year ahead.
