MEET OUR 25/26 PARENT ASSOCIATION BOARD

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to a new school year! Our Parent Association (PA) is here to bring families together, strengthen our community, and support the school through events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising efforts. The PA plays a vital role in enriching the TCS experience for every child, and we are excited for the year ahead.

 

We’ll kick things off with the Back-to-School Jam on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 2nd! A celebration for the whole community to reconnect after summer and start the year with joy. There will be a live DJ, Coffee Cart, Photos and more! 

 

There are so many ways to participate—whether it’s becoming a room parent, joining a committee, helping with an event, or attending one of our fundraisers. Every effort, big or small, contributes to the vibrancy of our community and directly supports the programs our children love.

 

I am honored to serve as this year’s PA President and look forward to working with our board, our families, and the school to ensure this is a year full of connection, purpose, and fun.

My name is Trinidad Branand. My husband, Brandt and I are the proud parents of Beau (2nd Grade), Zariyah (TK) and this will be our fourth year at TCS. I’m originally from CT and my husband is from DC. I am excited to be President of the PA Board this year and I look forward to creating events and spaces for community bonding.

My name is Yasmin Salehizadeh and I am the proud mom of Leo (Yellow Room) and wife of Ryan (5th Grade Teacher). We just welcomed a new baby boy, Ronan, a few months ago and we are enjoying life as a family of four! I work in HR at an alternative investment management firm. I am excited to be part of the PA Board this year as a Member at Large and look forward to connecting with the wonderful TCS community!

Hey there, I’m Sasha Perl-Raver, 2nd Grader Luna Pearl Fox’s mom. I grew up in New York City and Oakland, CA, with an unforgettable year in between where my family travelled around the world on a shoestring and a prayer. I’m a cotton candy enthusiast, a Dodgers fanatic, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the PA Board as our family embarks on our fifth year at TCS.

My name is Stephanie Bustillo, and I’m the mother of Jaden Bustillo Garcia, who is starting first grade this fall. I’m excited to be working with Helen on creating more inclusive and welcoming family and community spaces at TCS. We’ll be teaming up to help plan cultural events that celebrate the diverse backgrounds within our school, making sure everyone feels seen, valued, and included. Through our work on the DEIB board, we hope to build a stronger sense of belonging for all TCS families.

Hi! I’m Jasmine and I’m on the PA Board as your Vice President. I am a mom of 4 boys. My partner Kyle and I are parents to Easton in 2nd grade, Ever in kindergarten, and Navy in preschool. Our family loves The Country School and I’m so proud to be a part of the TCS community. Looking forward to meeting more families and having a great school year!

Hi, I’m Lauren! I’m a stay-at-home mom with a daughter in 2nd grade and a son in the Yellow Room. We’ve been part of the TCS family for two years now and are so happy to be here. In my free time, I love traveling, doing Pilates, and spending time with family and friends.

Hi everyone! My name is Tory and I’ll be joining PA board this year as the Room Parent Coordinator. I have two boys, Ben in 1st grade this year as well as Jack who will be starting his first year at the Country School in the Yellow Room. Can’t wait to get the new school year started and to be a most helpful team member!

The PA is looking for volunteers to help out in the PA committees we are offering this year. It's a great opportunity to connect with the TCS community at large and it's also a lot of fun. And we promise not to require a lot of work!
