The Role of the TCS Parent Association
The Parent Association serves as a mission-aligned partner of the School, strengthening the partnership between families and the institution in support of the School’s strategic priorities and long-term vitality. Working in coordination with School leadership, the Association focuses parent engagement, volunteerism, and philanthropic support on initiatives identified by the School as advancing its mission and institutional priorities.
The PA plays an important role in fostering connection among families, supporting the school’s mission, and enhancing the experience of TCS students. Working in partnership with school leadership, the PA helps strengthen the relationships and shared sense of purpose that define our community.
All TCS parents and guardians are automatically members of the Parent Association. Every level of involvement contributes to a stronger and more engaged school community. A central responsibility of the PA is supporting TCS’s two primary fundraising initiatives: the Annual Fund and TCS Fest, our benefit concert taking place February 8 at the Whisky a Go Go. These efforts provide essential resources for our students, teachers, programs, and campus while helping advance the school’s broader priorities.
This year, the Annual Fund will be presented as The Holly Novick Legacy Fund: Honoring 25 Years of Doing Right By Kids. As Holly enters her final year as Head of School, the Fund offers families and friends a meaningful way to recognize her extraordinary leadership and enduring impact. Gifts will honor the legacy she has built while supporting the students, faculty, and school community to which she has devoted so much of her career.
The PA also supports community traditions and volunteer-led activities throughout the year, including coordinating our hot lunch volunteers, room parents, the Halloween Carnival, TCS University, the Book Fair, and Teacher Appreciation Week. These programs create opportunities for families to connect, contribute, and take an active role in school life.
TCS is grateful for the time, energy, and generosity our families contribute through the Parent Association. We look forward to working together to create a year defined by community, purpose, celebration, and meaningful support for our school.

Welcome to a new school year! Our Parent Association (PA) is here to bring families together, and support the school through events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising efforts. We believe belonging is at the heart of a strong school community-- where every child and family feels welcomed, valued, connected, and proud to be part of something bigger than themselves. The PA plays a vital role in enriching the TCS experience for every child, and we are excited for the year ahead.
Every TCS parent is a member of the Parent Association, and we encourage everyone to get involved. There are countless ways to get involved and participate. For example, our upcoming Halloween Carnival, Annual Fund, TCS Fest, Teacher Appreciation Week, and more. Whether it’s becoming a room parent, joining a committee, helping with an event, or attending one of our fundraisers, every effort, big or small, impacts our community and directly supports TCS's mission and the programs our children love.

My name is Trinidad Branand, and my husband, Brandt, and I are the proud parents of Beau (3rd Grade) and Zariyah (Kindergarten). This year marks our fifth year at TCS, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of this special community. I’m originally from Connecticut, and my husband is from Washington, D.C. Over the years, TCS has become much more than a school for our family—it has become a place of connection, friendship, and belonging. As President of the Parent Association this year, I’m honored and excited to help continue building a community rooted in connection, purpose, and belonging—one where every family feels welcomed, every voice feels valued, and we come together to support our school, celebrate our children, and create meaningful experiences and lasting memories for one another.
Hi! I’m Jasmine and I'm the Vice President of the Parent Association. I am a mom of 4 boys. My partner Kyle and I are parents to Easton in 3rd grade, Ever in 1st grade, and Navy in preschool. Our family loves The Country School and I’m so proud to be a part of the TCS community. Looking forward to meeting more families and having a great school year!
